Visual Arts

The goal of the Brevard County Public Schools Art program is to provide instruction and assessment in elementary art that revolve around the development of the elements of art and the principles of design.  The art program is correlated with the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards. The district adopted series is Harcourt Publishers for K-5 and Scott Foresman for Grade 6.

A fine arts education is a vital part of the curriculum for Brevard County students. Involvement in the arts is all inclusive, the arts encompass an entire body of knowledge with a distinct vocabulary which transcends time, age and ethnicity. Engaging our students in multiple hands-on art experiences allows them to contribute to society, celebrate culture and develop natural talent.
